He teaches integrated functional prototyping (involving mechatronics, IoT, and data science). Before joining IIT Delhi, Prof. Dhariwal worked as a research fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engg., University of Leeds, Leeds, UK, and Dept. of Architecture, MIT, Cambridge, USA. He pursued his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay, master&#8217;s from Purdue University, and graduated from IIT Guwahati\n\n\nResearch and practice-wise, he has an interest in working in the area of &#8220;Design for health and wellness in the built environment&#8221;. He is presently working on understanding the nexus between air quality (outdoors and indoors), thermal discomfort due to heat stress (outdoors and indoors), and energy sustainability.
