Here research work is focused on 1) Degradation of optical properties of materials in polluted environments 2) Daylight and lighting related occupant preferences in warm climates 3) Development of educational tools for daylighting in buildings. She holds a doctoral degree from \u00c9cole Polytechnique F\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland (2020) and Masters from Carnegie Mellon University, USA (2007). \n<br><br>\nShe also worked as an energy performance specialist on over 50 commercial office and institutional buildings in the USA and worked as a reviewer for the GBCI (Green Building Certifications Institute) alongside her consulting work. She has worked with three generations of the LEED rating systems (from version 2.0 to version 4.1). Her key projects include the Hawaii preparatory academy, Hawaii, the first building to ever achieve the Living Building Challenge, Eighth Avenue Place, Calgary, Canada\u2019s first LEED Platinum high-rise office building and La Jolla Project, San Diego, a large-office net-zero energy building.\n <br><br>\nHer current professional affiliations include IDA (International Dark-Sky Association), ASHRAE and IBPSA.
