Smita is the Founder and Principal at Energe-se, a development research and consultancy organization. Her work has focussed on providing sustainability solutions for buildings and cities, including climate change mitigation and resilience strategies in line with India\u2019s development priorities. Smita has a diverse global experience spanning the development sector, academia, consultancy and architectural design. She studied architecture from TVB School of Habitat Studies, Delhi and holds a postgraduate specialization in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building, from Oxford Brookes University, UK.<\/p>\n

Prior to founding Energe-se, she worked in a philanthropic organisation, leading the buildings and appliance energy efficiency programs at Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, New Delhi. She has also worked as a research fellow at the Oxford Institute of Sustainable Development, UK, \u00a0taught postgraduate architecture students as an Associate lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, UK and worked in architectural practices in Delhi and London.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In 2016, he was recognized as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Fellow (LEED Fellow), the highest professional credential awarded by Green Business Certification, Inc., USA. He has experience in sustainability strategy, green buildings, building energy benchmarking and energy code implementation assistance, building simulation, energy auditing, building commissioning and retro-commissioning, as well as measurement and verification.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
