Netra is a founding member of Customized Energy Solutions’ India operation started in 2010. CES works with commercial and industrial customers to help reduce their energy costs through better utilization of the energy markets, renewable energy and emerging technologies. CES has led integration of latest technologies such as energy storage, emobility and microgrids in India.
She is co-founder of India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), started in 2012. IESA is a leading industry alliance focused on the development of advanced energy storage, green hydrogen, and e-mobility technologies in India. IESA’s vision is to make India a global hub for R&D, manufacturing, and adoption of advanced energy storage, e-mobility, and green hydrogen technologies. Netra has led IESA initiatives such as IESA Academy with focus on skill development and IESA – Women in Energy initiative for improving women participation in the clean energy and emobility sector.
Netra is also Director at CES Foundation which focuses on economic development through technical assistance for Micro Small & Medium Enterprises working with New & Renewable Energy for Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation. CES has set up microgrids and associated businesses in Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Nagaland to promote and accelerate sustainable rural economic development & sustainable livelihoods.
Netra leverages two decades of diverse experience covering electricity markets, energy data analysis, energy procurement strategy, energy cost optimization, open access, sustainability consulting, renewable energy advisory, energy contract support & execution, evaluation of advanced energy storage applications for reducing diesel consumption & RE integration, adoption of electric vehicle strategy & implementation.
Netra is an active angel investor in start-ups working for the bottom of the pyramid segment of the society, working on healthcare, mental health & physical fitness.
Netra holds an MBA degree from Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA and an Electronics Engineering degree from Mumbai University.
