Smita Chandiwala

Senior Technical Advisor

Smita is the Founder and Principal at Energe-se, a development research and consultancy organization. Her work has focussed on providing sustainability solutions for buildings and cities, including climate change mitigation and resilience strategies in line with India’s development priorities. Smita has a diverse global experience spanning the development sector, academia, consultancy and architectural design. She studied architecture from TVB School of Habitat Studies, Delhi and holds a postgraduate specialization in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building, from Oxford Brookes University, UK.

Prior to founding Energe-se, she worked in a philanthropic organisation, leading the buildings and appliance energy efficiency programs at Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, New Delhi. She has also worked as a research fellow at the Oxford Institute of Sustainable Development, UK,  taught postgraduate architecture students as an Associate lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, UK and worked in architectural practices in Delhi and London.

Rajan Rawal

CEPT University

Mr Rajan Rawal is a registered architect, He is the professor at CEPT University. His area of specialization is in Building Energy Efficiency and Building Science Education. He leads Center for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy at CEPT Research and Development Foundation.

Aalok Arvind Deshmukh

Schneider Electric

Aalok Deshmukh is currently the Director-Energy Efficiency, India at Schneider Electric. He has over 17 years of experience spanning contributions to more than 125 projects in 11 countries, including energy efficiency implementation, consulting and research in the corporate, government and non-profit sectors. In 2016, he was recognized as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Fellow (LEED Fellow), the highest professional credential awarded by Green Business Certification, Inc., USA. He has experience in sustainability strategy, green buildings, building energy benchmarking and energy code implementation assistance, building simulation, energy auditing, building commissioning and retro-commissioning, as well as measurement and verification.

Sneha Sachar

AEEE

Ms Sneha Sachar is a Strategic Advisor for the Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE). Her areas of specialization are in cooling, and the interrelation of energy efficiency and environment at large, including sustainable energy solutions and utility DSM strategies. She is a LEED accredited professional (BD+C). She did her B. Arch. from the Institute of Environmental Design in India, and her MBA from Darla Moore School of Business in USA.
